Assistant Resource Coordinator

Permanent Role | Part time (15 hours per week) | Mt Wellington location

We have a unique opportunity for someone with that “I can attitude” to utilise their knowledge and skills to support a growing Training Centre’s resources.

Training is responsible for providing a wide range of training and education programs for operational and volunteer staff.  Training delivery is designed to meet the highest possible standards in training and education, with the ultimate goal of supporting Fire and Emergency New Zealand to reduce the incidence and consequence of fire.

You will need sound relationship building and interpersonal skill as you will be working with Trainers, Administration staff, Students and Service Providers 

Duties involve:

  • Equipment Control – onsite control including delivery of equipment to courses, including external courses
  • Maintenance on Fleet – WOF, RUGS, Oil, fuel, Services
  • Maintenance on equipment
  • Setting up courses
  • Working with service provides
  • Working with Trainers / Admin staff

The ideal applicant will have…

  • The ability to demonstrate a good level of communication
  • Current Class 1,2 and 4 licenses
  • Proven experience of working with contractors and completion of equipment testing, repairs and maintenance
  • Some experience with IT, including computer setup and basic fault finding, data projection and operation of computer-based control systems
  • Handyperson skills and maintenance of facilities, fleet and resources
  • Low level MS Office skills including MS Outlook
