Senior HR Advisor

Fixed Term to January 2021. We’re looking for a team-oriented experienced generalist HR Advisor, who has worked at Senior Level and enjoys providing sensible solutions across all manner of HR issues.

About the role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team for a fixed term parental leave cover until January 2021.   We are currently going through a large organisational change period so we need you to be comfortable working in a challenging environment and dealing with ambiguity, and be used to managing issues with little support needed. 

This role will allow you to provide advice and support across a broad range of generalist HR functions, including employment relations, remuneration, recognition and reward, leadership development and change management.  Supporting and coaching managers relating to employment related legislation, FENZ policy and employment agreements. 

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships across a portfolio of customers and will be a trusted advisor to senior leaders.  Experienced in advising in all matters HR you’ll be a true generalist who applies common sense and pragmatism when providing solutions across a wide variety of HR topics. 

 You will be experienced in

  • Rem-sizing using Korn Ferry methodology and strong experience drafting position descriptions
  • Working within a large complex organisation preferably within the Public Sector
  • Providing advice regarding New Zealand employment legislation and case law
  • Dealing with large scale and complex change management
  • Disciplinary matters and performance management, including leading disciplinary meetings and the implementation of performance improvement plans
  • Turning complicated and legal concepts into plain English

This is a maternity leave cover until January 2020, the salary range for this role is $100,00 to $112.000 per annum.
