About the role

Fire and Emergency are looking to build a highly capable team of business analysts and project managers to deliver the changes we need to make to provide the services to our firefighters and to our communities.

This role will project manage a set of projects that are all related to improving some key fire management systems and practices.

The projects all need to be planned and delivered over the next two years with Service Delivery around working safely with water.

Our environment is large and complex – 12,000 volunteers, and 2,700 staff (a mix of operational and non-operational).  We are early in our journey to develop and deliver projects that will help us prepare for, guide and implement change to existing processes and delivery.

You will also be in on the ground floor of establishing an organisation-wide delivery capability and will be able to influence what that looks like and how it works.

About you

You will be an experienced project manager, with a passion for not only delivering projects well but for making sure that your business colleagues come along with you so that benefits can be achieved.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and keep all of the plates spinning
  • Ability to coach and guide team members who don’t have your project experience
  • Ability to join the dots and provide your Sponsor (SRO) with a clear picture of what she needs to know and to do

In return, we will provide you with a unique opportunity to utilise your knowledge and expertise within a challenging and supportive environment and an organisation dedicated to helping our communities.
